Every time I see this title I think of Asia's Heat of the Moment, and I even sang that part in my mind as I was reading The Heat of the Moment. I have to say that the story is a sweet read, because we don't have Jessica and Gavin jumping to bed with insta-lust. Actually, they build a nice friendship. They both are attracted to one another, but Jess was burned by an ex who just happen to be a baseball player. Basically, she threw every ball player in the box = PLAYER. That's a horrible generalization. Yes, there are some guys are totally like that. Poor Gavin getting lumped into PLAYER category. He had to prove that he was a good guy.

Seriously, poor Gavin. He's was an All-Star bound to make a big name until his injury. He ends up getting traded and gets dump by his girlfriend. During first 1/3 of the book he's pretty mopey. He was bringing me down. However, Jessica started him that it's not the end of world and he could end up back on top.

Most of the book is a sweet read, because they become friends in the story and they stay friends for 80% of the book before even cross into couple territory. Jess friend zone the poor guy, because of douche of an ex who was too full of himself. We watch Gavin learning to take things slowly in everything going on his life. It's not steamy like the last book, but still a good story. Overall, The Heat of the Moment is a feel good kind of story.

Any fan of baseball will love this one!
Katie Rose brought this book to life. I love reading about baseball and love. This author definitely understands the game of baseball and what the heart of a great woman can do to a man. Loved every book in this series. However this could be a stand alone but I recommend reading them all!
This was a fun and quick read. I'm glad I got to read this book on my plane ride. Especially since it was supposed to be a four hour flight that turned into 6 hours. I loved that I got to see glimpses of the other couples. Can't wait to see what is next. ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest review.
I was hoping to like this author bc she has several publications. After reading this I don't know how that is. If I had one thing I'd tell her is learn to conjugate for cripes sake. When u don't conjugate it makes for very stilted writing. Since this is the 3rd in this series I'm going to assume the others are the same. I also had a problem with how boring and repetitive this was. I like the premise just not the outcome.
Writing was fabulous with almost zero editing errors (a plus in today's self-publishing) and the story flowed very well. The H and h were likeable and meshed together beautifully with a delightfully sensuous intimacy. The secondary characters were fun, as well, and the emotional and character conflicts were solved without a plethora of unnecessary, over-the-top angst. Always a plus for me lol!

I enjoyed this book and recommend it.
OK. I have to start off this review by saying that I loved this book. I loved the characters, the plot, and the HEA. Gavin was a total sweetie and I must say I adore him. I have no problems recommending the book to any baseball romance fan. So why three stars do you ask? While the book was satisfying in almost every way there were definite continuity issues that drove me nuts. Did Zach play for the Reds or the Indians (being a huge Indians fan, I am choosing to believe this jack played for the Reds ;))? Did they have their first intimate experience on a bed or a cot? These might seem like minor gripes, but to me a good book is all about the details. Sadly, there were too many holes for me to give this a higher rating. If I could, I would totally give the plot and characters 4 stars, and I will definitely purchase the next book in the series. My hope is that the author will find herself some beta readers who excel at tracking continuity. If this book had no continuity issues, it would have been a grand slam.
