I purchased the Kindle version as I know both parties by going to the high school and elementary school as the author. Curiosity you could say. Sarge's story was very interesting and well written by Mike. I can't say I 'cried' along while reading as it predicted I might, however, you could empathize deeply with what our soldiers and the families in Viet Nam were forced to endure. It was a sad time being the first war 'televised'.I do want to say that e-book version is full of typo's which makes reading VERY aggravating. Especially after the hard work an author and subject put into putting facts, stories, and words together; all the editing, etc., just for the transcription to e-book to be so poor. I think, perhaps, we should be able to rate a book separate from the transcription as the transcription would get a -1.

This book was very well written! I felt like I was actually in the places in several parts of the books. It’s a quick read and makes you appreciate anyone who has to fight in a war. The pictures were also helpful in understanding this mans story. Great read and I would recommend it!!!!
